HANNAH MERRELL, LPC-MHSP
Hannah strives to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change. Her approach is holistic, recognizing that healing and growth are most effective when the whole person is considered. With an emphasis on authenticity, vulnerability, and self-compassion, her goal is to help clients move beyond shame and perfectionism, cultivate deeper self-acceptance, and experience the freedom to live as their authentic selves.
SHE works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is especially passionate about supporting those struggling with eating disorders, body image concerns, and their relationship with food and their bodies. She practices from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective and believes that healing involves cultivating self-compassion, connection, and trust in oneself.
Hannah holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee. In her work with clients, she utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has completed specialized training in Somatic Attachment-Focused EMDR (S.A.F.E. EMDR) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) Levels 1 and 2. She is also a professional member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals and is currently pursuing her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) credential, with anticipated completion in Fall 2026.
