Abbe UTTEr, LPC-MHSP-s

Abbe is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP). She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Freed-Hardeman University and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University.

She has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Levels 1 and 2, Somatic Experiencing Level 1, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Levels 1–4, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).

Abbe is passionate about helping others feel free and empowered. Life experiences, hurt, and shame can create a sense of disconnection from ourselves and contribute to a wide range of symptoms. Through an integrative, individualized therapeutic approach, she hopes to help each client feel less burdened, develop greater autonomy, and experience the freedom to become the truest and most fully alive version of themselves.

Abbe is especially passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma. She also has experience supporting those recovering from eating disorders, using evidence-based approaches through a Health at Every Size–aligned lens. Recognizing that trauma, the body, and spirituality are often interconnected in the healing process, she is honored to walk alongside individuals as they navigate questions and experiences related to their spirituality.

Abbe also works with individuals experiencing:

  • Existential concerns and identity exploration—Who am I? Where do I belong? What do I want? What do I believe?

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Relationship stress

She welcomes clients from all walks of life, in all bodies, and of all genders.
